Go somewhere safe
Find a friend you can stay with or go to a shelter.
Many of these shelters require you to stay away from the places and people you normally talk to and go, which you may feel uncomfortable doing. Ask about the requirements that each shelter has and remember that your stay at the shelter could last up to 90 days.

Your batterer can get help too
Domestic Violence can often happen in homes where there is a lot of stress. If your partner is willing to get help, here are some resources for them to receive help.

Trains batterers to stop their violence in community and jail settings and trains batterer intervention agency staff in the manalive model of violence prevention. Their goal is to help men stop their violence and recruit successful graduates to become community violence prevention and restoration activists.
