Close to 40% of San Francisco families are considered low income. Being a low income family means that you live below California’s income guidelines. These guidelines are set by comparing the size of your family and  the amount of money you make every month against other families in San Francisco.

There are some things you can do stretch your wallet and ease your mind, while you are doing your best to make ends meet.

MAKE A BUDGET FOR YOUR FAMILY
One of the first steps to figuring out what you need, is figuring out what you don’t have. You can do this by making a budget of what you spend every month. Be honest about how much money you spend and what you spend your money on. By the end of the month you should know what you are spending your money on and what you need more money for.
